Manual Machinist III - $35 to $38 per hour

We are currently looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to join our team. Our preferred candidate will have experience using ProtoTRAK mills and manual lathes to produce parts of varied materials. We are looking for a candidate that takes pride in their work and has a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities:Operate wide array of machine tools to fabricate parts, fixtures, and assemblies at a qualified level as defined on the company competency matrixTrain others to use machines and fabricate partsSet the example for the shop in all safety and quality requirements for machine shop practicesInterface with area Lead and Management as required to resolve technical, business and process related issuesUnderstand and interact with ERP system to ensure inventory and job accuracyFabricate fixtures as needed to machine parts to completionJave an advanced understanding and ability to work from solid models, prints, and sketches, and understand verbal and written engineering instructionsMake suggestions to engineering and other manufacturing personnel on rework and repair procedures; Execute rework and repair procedures with a high degree of quality and accuracyHave an advanced understanding and operation of precision measuring equipmentQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentTechnical/trade school diploma preferred9+ years experience as a Machinist working on low-volume, high mix partsExperience with, and functional knowledge of, precision measurement devices; power, pneumatic, and hand toolsLake Shore offers a work-life balance with challenging assignments, a focus on health and wellness, social activities, and community outreach.
