Overview
Freese and Nichols is seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Coordinator to assist in our growth nationally and lead high-level, strategic Federal pursuits from the sales positioning phase to opportunity strategy through proposal production to shortlist activities. Responsible for the day-to-day pursuit schedule management, layout, editing, and production of large, high-profile pursuits. Must work independently on multiple assignments and manage schedule without regular assistance of supervisor, completing high-quality assignments on time.
Qualified candidates will be skilled in meeting compliance and client requirements for Federal proposals, including maintaining communication with large proposal teams providing content, intensive schedule and color team review management, and creating compliant and attractive documents incorporating Federal forms. Additional primary responsibilities include but not limited to:
Serve as a Pursuit Manager to effectively lead pursuit teams (Marketing and Technical), collaborating with Sales and Technical staff on key or complex Federal pursuits, including SF330, multivolume proposals, TORN submittals, source sought responses, presentations:
Work with leadership and technical SMEs to craft appropriate sales strategies and win themes before and after RFQs are released. Make recommendations for subconsultants, projects and key differentiators
Manage the development and production of SOQ responses (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, LOIs etc.) in a deadline-intensive, fast-paced environment
Manage proposal schedule and ensure compliant content. Manage large teams, including other Marketing Coordinators and various technical staff
Coordinate with subcontractors and other teaming partners
Ensure printing, final delivery and archiving of client submittals
Archive proposals properly and timely
Participate in or lead Account and Opportunity Plan strategy meetings, where able
Create resumes and project descriptions by interviewing project personnel and reviewing existing project documentation; perform other writing and editing assignments as needed
Provide expert quality control checks for other Marketing Coordinators, providing style and grammar edits, verifying data, and ensuring compliance
Prepare presentations for shortlist interviews. Facilitate interview team rehearsals for client presentations. Coach presenters
Work with Sales to conduct client debriefs
Monitor SAM and GovWin and research leads generated from sales and business development efforts
Help train and mentor new Marketing Coordinators and collaborates with Business Development Coordinators within Sales
Qualifications
9+ years' experience as a Marketing Coordinator, or similar sales-related position in the Federal sector, for Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) or consulting firms
Understanding SF330 submittal requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant area of study: Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, English
Superior written (grammar) communication skills including writing, proofing and editing
Excellent organizational skills, diligent with time management, detail-oriented and able to solve problems creatively
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. Extensive experience in Word
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat
Proficient in CRM database search functions and data entry
Proficient in online search functions
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment and demonstrate a willingness to shift easily between various responsibilities with diverse stakeholders
Preferred
Experience leading non-SF330, multiple-volume Federal proposals
Understanding of Federal government contracting and procurement issues and FAR regulations is a plus
Proficient with SAM.gov and Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE)
Familiarity with Federal agencies, such as USACE, FEMA, USFWS, National Guard Bureau, Bureau of Reclamation, NRCS and others
Knowledge of Cosential
Proficient in Bluebeam
Experience with GovWin
