Maverick Natural Resources is looking for a Senior Staff - Corporate Accountant to the join the team. In this role they will be responsible for preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, analyses for monthly/quarterly corporate accounting matters, performing accounting research and preparing technical memos, and assisting with financial reporting process.

Prepare monthly journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations for corporate accounting matters, including but not limited to: Derivatives, Consolidation & Elimination Entries, Stock-based Compensation, and Debt & Interest, Equity transactions.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist in completion of annual audit by providing information and explanations to external auditors
Participate in special projects and hoc requests as directed
Take responsibility for completing the work within standards, complete tasks in a timely manner, follows through on action plans, implementation, and delivers results, acts with urgency and speed to accomplish priorities
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)CPA certification preferred5+ years accounting experience with at least 2 years in corporate accounting or 2+ years of corporate accounting experienceExperience with technical accounting mattersExperience in oil and gas preferredStrong computer and excel skillsAttention to detail and presentation of deliverables
