Logistician/Test Asset Equipment Manager(DETO-2024-20585)
Bowhead seeks aLogistician/Test Asset Equipment Managerwith technical and procurement experience to join our team supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), E Department.
This position will require full onsite work at the Bowhead office or Navy installation. No remote opportunity for this contract
Responsibilities
TheLogistician/Test Asset Equipment Managerwill support and work directly with the client on the Directed Energy Test and Operations (DETO) contract insupport of the areas below.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Development and processing of procurement documentation including: Government Purchase Card and IT packages, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) technical packages, and market research.
Recommends to the DE system team lead regarding equipment items that are in need of repair or replacement and shall provide a preliminary non-binding cost estimate for each item.
Generates and maintains a catalog of consumable items associated with the DE system being supported. Minimum and maximum asset levels for each item shall be recommended to, and approved by, the Government system team lead.
Create and maintain an asset database for each DE system and system components.
Maintains proper log for any equipment that is lost, destroyed, or turned-in.
Performs and supports the issuance, maintenance, itemization, database generation, and database maintenance for DE-related test assets.
Logs the issuance and restocking of each test asset, functional status, and disposition.
Receives, unpacks, inspects, assembles, installs, dismantles, re-packs, loads for shipment, arranges of shipping dates, and associated logistical aspects of receiving, installing, and shipping of DE-related items/systems from NSWCDD (or other designated CONUS sites) to CONUS or OCONUS locations.

Qualifications
Five (5) years combined experience in military, police, or other high-value inventory management.
Three (3) or more years combined experience in military logistics, procurement and Warehouse operations.
Demonstrated experience with Government procurements, maintaining database systems, and/or with military logistics operations
Preferred Bachelor of Administration (B.A) or Bachelors of Science (B.S) from an accredited university.
Preferred experience with Government test scheduling procedures and DRMO/RMA/procurements processes.
Preferred experience with ERP and deployment logistics.
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
