Reasonable accommodations for medical and religious objections will be considered.Nature and Scope:The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in our Leadership and Learning Center (LLC). This is an in-office position reporting to the Director of Finance. The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial support for the Early Learning and YMCA business units. The successful analyst will manage and build value-based relationships with Branch and YMCA Leadership. Working in close partnership with Accounting and Operations to achieve YMCA goals and provide best-in class support.Responsibilities (not limited to): Assist with leading the annual budget and monthly forecasting processesPartner with Accounting to improve accuracy and ensure proper revenue & expense recognitionWork with Accounting on monthly financial reporting packages including variance analysis, cash forecasting, Aging forecasting, etc.Assist with compliance on requirements of variance stakeholders i.e., local, and federal government agencies, bank debt covenants, auditors, etc.Partner with financial development to help ensure compliance with donor requirementsCreate an operational story from financials by comparing and analyzing actual results compared to budget/forecastCollaborate with Operational leaders to understand and analyze business trends and their potential impact to the financialsCreate consistent reporting and margin analysis for individual Branches and ProgramsCollaborate with Branch & Program Leadership to achieve financial & operational goalsIncrease productivity by developing and streamlining processes (systems and manual) while gathering and documenting information requirementsCreate and maintain financial policies that align with the goals of the organizationImprove financial results by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; and recommending actions to managementCreate actionable insights that help with decision making and proactively seek opportunities to support desirable business outcomesCreate Ad Hoc analysis to support and contribute to organizational goalsMaintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and human resource dataMinimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Finance or Accounting or closely related field from an accredited college or universityMinimum of 2+ years of experienceStrong proficiency with finance databases and ExcelStrong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is requiredAbility to organize, analyze, and present data to financial and operational leadershipExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently, manage time effectively, set priorities to meet deadlinesMaintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and human resource dataLocation:YMCA Leadership & Learning Center
