This position is located in the Office of Inspections and Evaluations within the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA). The purpose of this position is to serve as an Auditor in support of the assigned program area(s).
These positions will be filled within the Eastern Region of TIGTA, which includes the following duty locations: Andover, MA; Holtsville, NY; Washington, DC; Philadelphia, PA; Baltimore, MD; New Carrollton, MD; Atlanta, GA; Plantation, FL and Martinsburg, WV.
As a Auditor (Performance), you will:
- Conduct complex managerial and financial audits and special assignments to assess program efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with program laws, regulations and other provisions.
- Conduct valid and reliable research to analyze internal and external information to assess risk factors and identify high-risk areas.
- Document in audit work papers the results of audit review, using correct formats, including source, purpose, conclusion, and results.
- Identify and use complex specialized audit techniques to achieve audit objectives and identify appropriate statistical sampling methods, quantitative methods, and computer technology.
- Conduct effective meetings and conferences with auditees at all levels, including executive management.

A copy of any other official documentation containing: Type of vaccine administered; Number of doses received; Date(s) of administration; and Name of the health care professional(s) or clinic site(s) administering the vaccine(s).
If you decline to disclose your vaccination status and fail to provide satisfactory proof of vaccination you will be treated as not fully vaccinated for the purposes of implementing safety protocols that are based on vaccination status at TIGTA.
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Conducting and planning audits or projects. AND
Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following in relation to audits or projects:
Communicating issues identified to senior stakeholders;
Recommending courses of action;
Performing briefings and/or presentations to defend a position or to gain support from the audience;
Developing written products. OR
Planning, conducting, and documenting results of audits or projects within a tax administration organization.
