Transformation Office initial priorities include building on the Reimagine Work to: 

  • Optimize product management and delivery practices in the lines of business (Core, New Payment Flows, VAS) establishing greater accountability, better ideation, and utilizing strong input from our Clients (Voice of Customer - VOC) while providing full transparency into roadmaps and rationale and more clearly defined prioritization.

  • Increase our time-to-market, speed to scale, and empowerment/decision making by accelerating the recommendation for e2e Process and driving broader mindset and behavior change at scale.

We are seeking a proactive individual with an agile, growth mindset to join the Finance team supporting Visa’s Transformation Office. The Director, Transformation Office Financial Analysis role will serve as a liaison between the Transformation Office and the Finance Function and CFO and will support the CFO in the integration of Transformation commitments with budgets, perform financial tracking of progress against commitments and communicate the financial impact of Transformation more broadly.

The role will be responsible for supporting the executive team in setting overall transformation outcomes, including enterprise-wide financial planning approach, overseeing appropriate capacity planning and resource allocation based on Transformation related objectives.  This individual will work directly with Transformation leadership and workstream sponsors to communicate targets effectively and translate impact aspirations into clear financial outcomes. Further responsibilities include providing the executive team with information and guidance to support data-driven decision making, developing, and highlighting financial trends which could hinder or accelerate the financial impacts of Visa’s business, and making recommendations to resolve emerging issues or to take advantage of positive trends.

Additionally, as a Finance business partner supporting the Transformation Office, this individual will cultivate operational partnerships to drive strategic and financial thought leadership and lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting processes for the Transformation Office.

The successful candidate should be comfortable presenting financial results and providing insights and analysis to business partners and executives to drive data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial and general business analysis, preferably with a public company, and demonstrated experience collaborating with various functions.

In support of the Transformation Office, this position will interact with a wide range of stakeholders, including Technology, Product, Finance, Risk, HR, Client Services, etc.

Essential Functions:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders (i.e., executives and staff) in the business and apply overall analytical skills and experience to become a highly valued business partner as well as serve as a key point of contact for finance issues.
  • Operate with minimal supervision and make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently and with limited guidance, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior management.
  • Identify and recommend changes that improve efficiency and effectiveness of operational decision making
  • Acquire and maintain a deep understanding of the strategies, priorities, and issues of the business supported
  • Collaborate with business leaders to quantify the financial impacts of operational risks and opportunities.
  • Lead the coordination, organization, and execution of quantitative and qualitative financial analysis and modeling with thoroughness and accuracy to quantify the impact of investments.

Basic Qualifications:
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
• 7+ years of finance experience with progressively increasing responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an
Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• Highly motivated finance leader who easily builds effective relationships with senior executives and staff both inside and outside the Finance organization.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a "peer" with business leaders in the function supported.
• Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.
• Strong executive presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior executives and external business partners.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with superb attention to detail.
• Well-developed strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Thrives in an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented.
• Advanced level of Excel and PowerPoint required.
• Experience with a complex financial system (e.g., Hyperion, TM1, etc.) is preferred.
