JobSummary: The Financial Advisor II serves as a key financial resource to the Finance Team. This person provides financial analysis required to support the goals and objectives of Baylor Scott & White Health. The Financial Advisor II provides financial analysis support to administrators, department directors and other team members to assist in the efficient and cost effective operations of BSWH. In addition, the Financial Advisor II has the following responsibilities: Prepares the operating and capital budget (s) for assigned areas, the 5-year financial operating forecast to include statistics, payer mix, payments, capital, etc Provides ongoing budget vs. actual revenue and expense variance analysis. Develops and produced Management Reports. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have a passion for accuracy and process improvement. The candidate will have proficient knowledge of corporate finance and GAAP accounting, including valuation, financial statement analysis, discounted cash flow analysis. Furthermore, qualified candidates will have strong Microsoft Excel and Power point skills, along with a strong work ethic and desire to learn. The position is a strategic support role and will report directly to the VP / CFO of Joint Ventures. In the role, the position will support both organic and inorganic investment analysis efforts related to potential acquisitions, new joint ventures and other potential investments. In addition to support of potential transactions or capital initiatives, the Financial Advisor II will provide support related to budgeting, forecasting, capital planning and additional ad-hoc analysis. In the role, the analyst will gain financial modeling, transaction and FP&A experience and will create deliverables necessary for decision support. Support the VP / CFO of joint ventures by preparing pro formas and other decision support deliverables for new business initiatives within BSWH's portfolio of JVs. Perform project management tasks related to BSWH JV financial initiatives, including ad-hoc analysis.
