Incredible teams doing exceptional work, every dayThe Credit Approval & Administration team provides education, guidance, and best practices related to First Republic's credit culture and policy. Our team includes members of the Executive Loan Committee and Credit Administration who approve and monitor loans in accordance with our credit culture and policy.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrimarily responsible for the automation of reports and creation of dashboards related to the bank's loan portfolio. Other responsibilities include production of reports, data analysis, peer code review, and documenting data lineage. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of data structure and governance. This individual will be motivated by the desire to run enhance reporting and analytics to support growth and positive change. Communication skills will be important with many projects that involving multiple departments. Success is defined by: managing processes in a timely and efficient manner with appropriate controls, identifying trends and nuances within the data, working with end users to maximize the value of solutions delivered and maintaining strong partnerships with other departments. What you'll do as a Loan Data Analyst:Automate reports using Snow SQL and SSRSCreate dashboards using TableauIdentify insights within reports, and catch potential issues before they reach the reviewerWork with Accounting, Finance, Loan Servicing, and Financial Reporting on data reconciliation and variance analysisUnderstand data sources and business logicPartner with key stakeholders to provide optimal solutions for their needsManage processes independently, providing timely status updates to key stakeholdersDevelop new/enhanced reporting methods and documentation. Drive process improvements to strengthen controls, improve data quality, and reduce production time QualificationsYou could be a great fit if you have:Bachelor's degree or higher with an emphasis on logic, math, and programming skills Detail oriented with excellent time managementExcellent problem-solving and critical thinking skillsExperience working with Excel and SQLFamiliarity with Snowflake, SSRS, Tableau, and GitHubStrong understanding of how data is stored, queried and transformedAbility to produce clear, concise explanations (oral and written)Keen and inquiring mind with the ability to see the big picture, yet manage to the detailsProactive, self-motivated, and able to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment Job Demands: Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient.Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.
