Job Overview Job Description:Mobility Core and Network Services (MCANS) team is part of the Network CTO organization that oversees the global mobile and fixed network technology direction for AT&T, which includes the design of the company's 5G infrastructure and services.This team is responsible for the architecture, design, certification and delivery of advanced Mobility Core network functions and Network Services applications, including for IP multimedia systems and packet data, which are the future of Mobility services and experiences. The team contributes to the growth and development of end-to-end wireless network services across Consumer, Enterprise, Internet of Things (IOT), FirstNet and public sector products.This entry-level position is part of a team that collaborates with client project teams in the development of mobility business services over our network, which will be a mix of Physical and Cloud platforms, CI/CD workflow automation, Big Data and Azure DevOps (ADO). This is a very dynamic and exciting role that will allow for exposure to emerging mobility, virtualization and cloud technologies We are seeking candidates who are eager to learn and grow their skills as part of a diverse, talented and energetic group of professionals working in the areas of cloud computing, data analytics, software development, migration and technology delivery.REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONSCloud ComputingBasic understanding of cloud platformsAwareness of virtualization, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) conceptsBasic programming skills in a language like Python, JavaScript, or JavaFamiliarity with basic networking concepts, strong IP planning backgroundFamiliarity with the concepts of moving legacy applications into new cloud platformsData AnalyticsSome experience with programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation and analysisExposure to data manipulation and analysis libraries, such as Pandas or NumPyFamiliarity with SQL and relational databasesBasic understanding of data visualization and statisticsSoftware Development & DeliveryContinuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)Basic experience with Git, Docker, and KubernetesExposure to Unix shell, Ansible, and Python scriptingUnderstanding of YAML and JSON file types and their usageFamiliarity with moving legacy applications into new Software Defined NetworksEDUCATION REQUIREMENTBachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline e.g. Computer Science, or Engineering.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSTelecom Industry (not mandatory but a plus):Basic understanding network architecture, IP transport & connectivity and wireless communication protocols like SIP and DiameterExposure to network analysis and telecom-specific data sources, familiar with reporting tools and dashboards such as PowerBI, Jira, etc.Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture security and privacy conceptsFamiliarity with System and Database Admin functions, exposure to RHEL and Oracle as an example, could own and operate such platformsArtificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (not mandatory but a plus):Awareness of machine learning frameworks and concepts.Basic understanding of mathematics relevant to AI/ML.Familiarity with data preprocessing and model evaluation techniques.Our Sr. Specialist Member of Technical Staff earn between $108,900.00 - $183,000.00, Annual USD, annually.
