Job Overview Job Description:Candidate will work with AT&T Industry leading automation experts and 5G Core network technology Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to automate deployment and upgrades of 5G Core Network Functions (NFs). Work involves working with state-of-the-art technology in containerized applications, Azure, CI/CD pipelines, workflow engines and software. The engineer will actively participate on the DevOps team along with multiple client project team(s). Their primary role will be supporting the development of automated CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines and Azure resources. As a member of the team, you will not only be challenged technically but also challenged to possess the assertiveness to lead discussions with client project teams and NF SMEs to develop automation solutions.AT&T is looking for people who will work well within a team and have capabilities and experience to elevate the team. Excellent communication and teamwork and team building skills are essential.Day To Day Activities:Collaborate with AT&T Lab SMEs to test the obtained artifacts from NF vendors in a Lab environment.Ability to update vendor delivered artifacts to meet AT&T Security and/or AT&T's DevOPs Best Practices.Participate as an end-user to provide feedback to AT&T Tools teams to test/automation tools used to in pre-deployment and post deployment activities.Participate in and/or lead PoC activities to develop Azure ADO Pipeline Templates that will used as part of a standardized catalog of CI/CD DevOPs pipelines/workflows.Lead and/or collaborate with code review for code promotion.Attend scrum meetings to provide updates to a DevOps project team.Critical skills needed:Knowledge of a scripting language supported in Azure ADO Pipelines.Knowledge on how to create an ADO pipeline from ground up based on a given set of requirements.Proven experience to take an everyday manual process and automate using a scripting language, ie bash scripts, python and/or Infrastructure as Code (e.g., ansible).Hands on experience on containerization of applications/services from deploying, debugging up to maintaining.Working experience in creation and maintenance of Azure and ADO concepts.Working experience with the Linux Operating System.Understanding in the use of JSON and YAML files as forms of data sources for the automated solution from scripts, ansible playbooks, and ADO Pipelines.Ability to articulate concepts, solutions, and standards to members of the project with various levels of skills sets through presentations and/or discussions.Highly desired skills needed:Understanding the purpose of ADO Repos and the use of branching and tagging methods to optimize code stored in repositories to handle different environments ( e.g., lab, production).Demonstrated use of az cli commands within ADO Pipelines as a method to interact with Azure Resources.Professional experience of using git including identifying and addressing when code drift occurs within the repository.Working Experience on the use of Azure Container Registry (ACR) to maintain images and charts through tools used within the pipelines to import, tag, and extract artifacts.Understanding of Azure Resource Manager (Endpoints and Service Principals)Understanding the concepts API requests and responses.Understanding of Bicep and ARM Templates to build Azure Resources with particular emphasis on parameterization.Demonstrated use Azure Operator Service Manager (AOSM).Understanding the capabilities of Azure Keyvault (AKV) or HashiCorp VaultEducation RequirementBachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline e.g. Computer Science, or Engineering.Our Sr. Specialist Member of Technical Staff earn between $108,900.00- $183,000 USD, annually.
