Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,598 per week

Certification Details BLS ACLS PALS TNCC CA License Job Details A hospital near Sacramento is looking for experienced ER nurses for a travel contract. The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, have trauma experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH and CA License. Level II Trauma experience required. (Level I Trauma experience would be a PLUS) Job Requirements 2 years of experience Trauma experience Active CA License ER (Emergency Room) nursing specialty Schedule Information 12 hr shifts. Shift starts 645. Report is at the bedside. OT and extra shifts are available. Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it. Schedules are out 4 weeks. Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves 'available' for extra shifts and make trades with other staff. Unit Specific Information Ratios: 1:4 Charge Nurse: Yes Nurse Aides: As census and staffing dictates Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Scrub Color: Navy Tele: Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips Vents: Yes Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes IV Team: No RT 24/7: Yes Pharmacy 24/7: Yes Floating: All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen. Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor. Additional Details Modules are required before start and take 3-4 hours Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years) Level II Trauma experience required Primary trauma center for the area. Standard ED patients. Psych holds with security if agitated.
