Senior Brand Manager/Director , Home Division – New York, NY

is seeking a self-starter, strategic thinker who is a highly analytical, creative thinker with both right brain and left-brain orientation. This individual will have a demonstrated track record of accomplishment for working well in a multi-faceted environment encompassing a direct-to-consumer structure, along with cross-channel experience in wholesale, retail, and marketplaces. The Senior Brand Manager/Director will join the New York Brand Management team.
Here’s what you will do here:
Build Good, Better Best Distribution Strategy and LRP to support business.
In collaboration with Licensees, develops and implements category business plans.
Establish strong relationships and a thorough understanding of the customers to maximize potential.
Collaborate with Licensees on assortment development, designs, development calendars, and product approvals. Ensure all associate deliverables are completed on time.
Create an annual assortment line plan by department, class, and retailer in order to achieve financial targets and brand experience for our customers and visitors.
Partner with Design on product strategies and requirements to ensure customer needs are met while remaining innovative.
Leverage data and insights to analyze performance and understand trends to drive assortment and business decision-making.
Be the expert on the customer, the market, and competition for assigned category.
Be tenacious and accountable in driving business results and achieving financial plans.
Develop and execute seasonal or yearly category line reviews to improve assortments, merchandising standards, and omni-channel execution.
Conduct effective negotiations with vendors on availability, product specs, distribution, delivery deadlines, and cost geared towards maximizing the company, retail partner, or direct profits and margin goals.
Partner with Legal teams to understand key deal terms and ensure that material deal terms are adhered to, updated, and accurately filed. Manage all license extensions with Brand Management and Legal teams.
Onboard and train new Licensees on key brand strategies and initiatives.
Produce, with design, highly fashionable, quality goods that represent an incredible value to our retailers and customers for DTC and/or wholesale partners through Style Guides.
Maintain knowledge of market conditions regarding price, resources, and fashion as they relate to trends and key items and react accordingly to impact sales.
Analyze history and current business in order to strategically forecast future opportunities.
Establish successful and collaborative cross-functional partnerships with Marketing, Creative Services, and broader Merchandising teams.

You’re going to need this to carry out this job:
Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; or equivalent education.
A minimum of 5 years of buying, merchandising, brand management, or comparable experience in a multi-channel or online retail environment, focusing primarily on home categories, with involvement in apparel and food. QVC experience a plus.
History of managing a team.
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, with prior experience working with senior management.
Experience with some or all of the following software solutions:
Product Information/Catalog Management System for SKUs, Products, Categories, and Navigation – Shopify (preferred).
PIM – Salsify or similar platform.
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Comfortable working within data-rich software platforms.
