Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS cloud services, database management, API management, and cloud networking. This role requires hands-on expertise in designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud-based solutions while ensuring compliance with security best practices. Candidates must be able to work onsite Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Friday. Key Responsibilities: AWS Cloud Services & Networking: Implement and manage cloud networking solutions, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and VPNs. Comfortable with cloud networking and content delivery using AWS services like VPC and CloudFront. Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CDK. Database & Storage Management: Design, deploy, and manage scalable and reliable cloud-based databases, such as AWS RDS. Monitor database performance, implement backup and recovery strategies, and optimize database queries and schemas for efficiency. Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate controls, encryption, and data masking techniques. Design and manage cloud storage solutions (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage) to support a variety of data types and access patterns. Configure and optimize storage systems for performance, cost-efficiency, and security. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for storage solutions using replication and cross-region backup strategies. API Management: Design, develop, and maintain APIs using best practices and industry standards (e.g., REST, GraphQL). Implement API gateway solutions (e.g., AWS API Gateway, Apigee) to manage and secure API traffic. Monitor API performance, usage, and security, implementing rate limiting, authentication, and authorization as needed. Collaborate with development teams to create and maintain comprehensive API documentation and support integration with various services and applications. DevOps & Security Compliance: Utilize DevOps tools such as AWS Code Pipeline, GitLab CI/CD, Helm, Docker, and Kubernetes to automate and streamline operations. Manage IAM services in AWS, including AWS IAM roles, policies, and security groups. Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements across all cloud environments. Use cloud monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, and Prometheus to monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments. Familiarity with IAM, security tools, and standards, including PingID, OIDC, OAuth2.0, and serverless computing on AWS. Linux & Scripting: Work with Linux systems, package managers, basic shell scripting, and SSH. Minimum Qualifications: Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudFront, and VPC. Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools, including AWS Code Pipeline, GitLab CI/CD, Helm, Docker, and Kubernetes. Strong experience in IAM services, security standards, and tools, particularly in AWS. Proven experience with cloud monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, and Prometheus. Expertise in database and storage management, API management, and cloud networking. Experience with Linux systems, package management, and scripting. Familiarity with serverless computing on AWS. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of cloud security best practices and regulatory compliance. Experience with data lifecycle management, archiving, retention, and deletion strategies. Ability to work onsite Monday through Thursday, with remote work on Fridays. Comments/Special Instructions: Candidates must be able to work onsite Monday through Thursday, with no exceptions.
