GENERAL DESCRIPTION : This position will focus on deploying and configuring the county's new ERP (Tyler Technologies Munis) system. This system will be implemented across the county, facilitating interconnected data and seamless workflows between departments. Its goal is to boost operational efficiency and support data-driven decision-making. The role is essential for utilizing technology to improve business processes, guide strategic decisions, and manage the implementation of data systems. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams are required. Applications Administrator II are distinguished from Applications Administrator I by their specialized knowledge and experience with enterprise-level software and application functionality. Further, Applications Administrators II function as a hybrid between a systems administrator and a database administrator, requiring knowledge related to the design, implementation, and maintenance of both databases and servers. This position reports to the IT Manager or designee. Responsibilities may require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice. Essential Job Functions ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Performs all job functions of an Applications Administrator I, plus the following: Senior-level support of the ERP technology solutions, including system configuration, data validation, workflow and notifications, and ongoing maintenance of the new platform. Learn departmental technology-focused operational and administrative systems and prepare for the upcoming transition to a new ERP platform. Oversee data migration and integration processes to ensure seamless transfer and synchronization of information across systems and platforms. Administer data migration applications by managing configurations, overseeing data transfer processes, and ensuring the integrity and performance of data migration efforts. Leads the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of enterprise-level software applications, ERP platforms, databases, middleware, and servers, which includes installing new software releases and system upgrades, evaluating, and installing patches, and conducting database migrations, refreshes, and restores. Provide technical guidance and expertise on the implementation of enterprise-level software. Plans, designs, and develops database, web, and application servers in a multi-instance environment. Implements and maintains the architecture necessary for enterprise-level software application integration with other application systems. Functions as the lead on projects to architect, implement, enhance, and test enterprise-level software applications systems to meet dynamic business needs. Performs complex configuration, change management, and testing activities to support a service-oriented architecture and integration between all applications. Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical problems with enterprise-level software applications including application, database, and server problems. Oversees the integrity of security design and engineering for software and systems at the enterprise level, including implementing security measures to safeguard data, software, and hardware. Ensures the performance and reliability of enterprise-level software by monitoring these systems for high availability, load balancing, and satisfactory response time and working with other information technology professionals to resolve performance issues. Keeps a close watch on third-party tools to assess application and database performance, offering suggestions for improvements/adjustments and configuring packaged software applications accordingly. Provides programming/scripting assistance to support enterprise-level software applications automation; debugs and tunes/optimizes SQL statements. Serve as the primary point of communication between St. Lucie County and software vendors. Perform related work as requested or assigned. Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills: Has the knowledge, abilities, and skills of an Applications Administrator I, plus the following: Knowledge of enterprise-level software applications (ERP), including Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Financial Information Systems, is preferred. Knowledge of system development methodologies used to plan, develop, implement, operate, and maintain enterprise-level software applications. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for automating, developing, implementing, or administering database systems. Solid understanding of Web Server, App Server and/or Database interactivities. Solid understanding of application infrastructure and architecture preferred. Proficiency in interface, networking, design, and relational database technologies. Experience in supporting both Cloud-based and on-premises applications. Familiarity with multi-tier applications utilizing application and web servers. Competence in project management, spanning from planning to execution. Aiding in software solution evaluations and budgetary preparations. Capability to craft business continuity plans for enterprise-level software applications. Ability to work effectively at all organizational levels and be capable of working individually or as part of a team. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS : Good vision and hearing with or without correction. Responsibilities must have included vendor management, coordination, installation of upgrades, and database management. A comparable amount of training or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION: Valid Florida Driver's License is required. Must have and maintain a good driving record.
