IT Embedded Risk Manager
for a
Contract job
with a client in
Tampa, FL/Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid).
You will play a key role in executing control testing and facilitating discussions with stakeholders to gather essential risk and compliance information.
Rate Range:
$60/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
IT Embedded Risk Manager job responsibilities include:
Support efforts to identify and manage risks within the IT environment, including conducting risk and control assessments.Develop and maintain relationships with IT partners and control evaluation functions across the three lines of defense to facilitate effective risk management.Create, communicate, and ensure adherence to department risk policies, procedures, and best practices, embedding a risk management mindset within the organization.Execute control testing, including issue remediation testing, and coordinate with audit and management control testing functions to gather and prepare required evidence.Track and escalate compliance items included in the IT Risk & Control Report/Dashboard and prepare inputs for reporting on risk treatment and inherent risk assessments.Coordinate meetings, gather evidence, and prepare documentation for issue and action closure facilitation.Liaise with Technology Risk, Information Security, and other subject matter experts to communicate identified risks and mitigation strategies effectively.Support and lead efforts to strengthen the IT risk management framework and improve overall risk posture through best practices and innovative solutions.Utilize data collection and analytical skills to identify trends and provide insights related to risk management activities.Opportunity to supervise junior resources as the team grows and mentor them in risk management processes.Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Risk Management, or Business Administration.3-5 years of experience as a risk and control professional within a Big 4 accounting firm, financial services industry, or equivalent.Proven experience conducting control testing, including issue remediation testing, with a strong understanding of risk management frameworks.Familiarity with process mapping and control identification, along with strong data collection and analytical skills.Advanced degree and/or relevant certification (e.g., CRISC, CISA, or equivalent) is a plus.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW. Pay Details:
$60.00 to $65.00 per hour
