Supply Chain Data Analyst

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Supply Chain Data Analyst is responsible for identifying, understanding, and combining data sources and analytical techniques to provide the business with information to make both strategic and operational decisions. Position optimizes the data quality by reviewing and interpreting data, analyzing results, and working with business owners to improve data information. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the Warehousing and Inventory Operations Manager and does not supervise staff. The position works closely with Finance, Information Services, Fruit Procurement, Tree Top plants, QA, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Traffic, Purchasing, Contract Manufacturing, Co-pack facilities, Custom Pack customers and software consultants. QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY: KNOWLEDGE OF: Data processing methods, relational tables, procedures, and computer software systems. SQL for use extracting data from databases, and how that data needs to be joined. Systems design and development process, including requirements analysis, feasibility studies, software design, programming, pilot testing, installation, evaluation, and operational management. Business process analysis and redesign. Design and operation of IS systems. Understanding of software business and practices (Good Manufacturing Practices). Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations. ABILITY TO: Manage and coordinate a variety of IS-related projects and/or programs and clearly articulate plans. Link and apply complex technologies to business strategies. Apply understanding of how data reporting should work to lead improvement initiatives to better support the business. Maintain confidential and sensitive information. Gain cooperation through collaboration, discussion and persuasion. Be a strong team player. Identify, research, analyze, and document problems, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions. Gather, evaluate, and interpret data information. Effectively organize, plan, and execute. Have good customer service and communication skills, use those skills to communicate and understand business needs. Use computers and computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Meet behaviors established in Tree Top's performance management and development process. EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING: A Bachelor's degree in data or computer science, information technology, or related field is preferred, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. Experience with Database, SQL, and Excel are required. Knowledge and Experience with IBM DB2 a plus.
