Description
The Waterpark Sales Coordinator at Island Waterpark will work hand in hand with the Waterpark Sales Manager to welcome and detail celebrations for under 45 guests! This person will answer all celebration communication via phone, email and Triple Seat then ensures a flawless onsite welcome experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Communicate with potential event hosts to book, plan, and execute small waterpark events of 45 guests or less alongside Waterpark Sales Manager Communicating with park departments to make all necessary arrangements to ensure a successful event Facilitating/handling birthday events such as set-up and staging Acting as support for waterpark guest services team and operations team as it pertains to celebrations and small events Respond in a quick, timely, and professional manner to all internal and external customers Knowledgeable of all events going on throughout the waterpark Proactively handles any arising issues, and troubleshoots any emerging problems during all events. Process Event Orders, including food and beverage arrangements and payment as needed. Function as the on-site contact to guests for all aspects of their events as delegated by Waterpark Sales Manager. Assist with on-site sponsorship activations, sign installation, compliance photos, etc. as needed. Conducts pre and post event evaluations every shift and reports on outcomes to Waterpark Sales Manager Basic Qualifications
Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or Holidays as needed Successful completion of criminal background check Able to supervise multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Leadership, problem solving, organization and communication skills required Able to work well with others required. Strong customer service skills (verbal and written) preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older. 1-2 years' experience in the entertainment, food & beverage and / or hospitality industry encouraged but not required Physical Requirements
Heavy work - Exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects Flexible and long hours sometimes required including weekends and holidays. Time spent may be dictated by the number of clients or groups on property or by the time of the season Ability to move frequently throughout the large facility Standing and walking for long periods of time Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to work in environmental conditions that include, but are not limited to: Wet and humid environments, indoor tropical environmental conditions with up to 90% humidity and warm temperatures in excess of 70F, as well as outdoor environmental conditions Mental Requirements
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately Must be able to show initiative in job performance including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by Associates, Supervisors, Department Heads, Senior Management and guests Must be able to adapt to a broad range of customer interactions, inquiries and complaints Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions and statistical analysis Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgement Make independent decisions while maintaining strong ethical standards consistent with company policy, rules and the ability to maintain confidential information.
