JOB SUMMARY

Under general direction, provides guidance and oversight of College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) efforts at the local unit level. The Unit Coordinator 1 of CCMR will assist the central CCMR department staff to strategically manage programs to ensure that implementation, compliance at all levels, and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance to meet specific objectives. The Unit Coordinator 1 plays a critical role in monitoring local program gaps, connecting with relevant stakeholders and resources to support the growth of CCMR-related courses and programs within their respective unit. In addition, this role organizes coordinated activities aligned with implementation objectives of programs. This position works closely with the Division and CCMR unit leadership and support teams, campus administrators and faculty, SPED support teams, and central office CCMR staff. This position requires strong communication skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to gather, analyze, and report data. This position is expected to resolve CCMR-related problems, champion effective methods, support to clarify or interpret complex information/policies, but no program approval authority.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develops unit-level outreach opportunities and events to support CCMR awareness for students, parents, and community members. 2. Interpret and review with unit staff and leadership CCMR program effectiveness data, performance targets, essential timelines, and potential impacts on funding. 3. Review and audit CCMR-specific facilities and instructional resources while also supporting the adherence to CCMR policies and procedures.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED

4. Collaborate with campus administrators, unit staff, and the CCMR central office team on program priorities, best practices to impact local, state, and federal updates regarding compliance and CCMR accountability. 5. Monitor data to identify and reduce barriers that prevent access for all students to participate and excel in CCMR coursework and/or pathway sequences. 6. Compiles regulatory progress reports that provides updates in alignment with unit and central office processes. 7. Participates in CCMR central district wide initiatives and related unit level events. 8. Preforms other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree; Master's Degree preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE

3 to 5 Years A minimum of 1 year working directly within a district or state level CCMR department and 2 years as a CCMR teacher or related organization. Managerial experience is preferred. Experience communicating with multiple levels of leadership and professional presentation skills. This position requires availability to work some evenings and weekends. Travel is required.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Work Leadership. Regularly provides project management or team leadership to a group of two or more employees but does not have formal supervisory responsibility. Leading and directing is restricted to monitoring work and providing guidance on escalated issues. Most of work time is spent performing many of the same duties they are leading.

WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT

Work is substantially complex, varied and regularly requires the selection and application of technical and detailed guidelines. Independent judgment is required to identify, select, and apply the most appropriate methods as well as interpret precedent. Position regularly makes recommendations to management on areas of significance to the department. Supervision received typically consists of providing direction on the more complex projects and new job duties and priorities.

Compiles and organizes data and figures.

Decisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude but are still subject to approval. Job is occasionally expected to recommend new solutions to problems and improve existing methods or generate new ideas.

Errors are serious and difficult to discover, normally involve decisions not subject to detailed review and will result in excessive costs and/or significant project delays.

COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONS

Collaborate and solve problems - works with others to resolve problems, clarify or interpret complex information/policies, and provide initial screening/negotiations without approval authority. Interactions are typically with customers, senior level professional staff, and managers.

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS

Leads others in the resolution of highly sensitive and confidential issues on behalf of the department. Acts as a trusted advisor and becomes involved in the customer's decision-making process including presenting alternatives and information and applying persuasion and negotiation skills in the resolution of problems.

Monitors customer service standards.

WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.

Ability to carry and/or lift less than 45 pounds.
