Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented Systems Administrator to join our team! In this role you'll be challenged in a way that will keep you on the cutting edge defensive cyber operations focused cyber development. Parsons works on top level cyber development projects for national defense programs - imagine the possibilities to make an impact. Location is:
Oceanside, CA, with hybrid options available
. Air travel of approximately 10% expected. Must be able to obtain a US government security clearance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Assisting a team in designing and developing solutions to integrate into and advance the state of the art of remote-enabled defensive cyber operations.
Assist with the identification and integration of open source, commercial, and government-owned capabilities into a government-owned Kubernetes-enabled platform.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, and computer systems.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
Perform regular system updates and patches to maintain security and efficiency.
Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Maintain network security by implementing best practices and monitoring for potential threats.
Provide first-level support for IT-related issues, escalating to senior staff when necessary.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field; additional experience may suffice in lieu of degree
Minimum 3 years of experience in systems administration or information technology / systems engineering roles.
Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with networking concepts and devices.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with virtualization
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
Experience supporting US Government Information Technology
Experience with defensive cyberspace TTPs
Knowledge and experience with RMF
Experience with or working knowledge of ACAS or Nessus
Experience with or working knowledge of Kubernetes
Physical Requirements
Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.
Occasionally pull, stand, and work in confined spaces.
Minimum Clearance Required to Start:
Top Secret

Salary Range:
$70,500.00 - $123,400.00
