Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:The Sr. Business Objects developer uses the
SAP BusinessObjects
platform to design and build data management and business intelligence modeling and reporting.Understand customer needs, data flow, and operationsCreate systems and solutions, including Business Objects Universe and Reports that connect to relational databasesValidate reports, dashboards, and cubes with other developersEnsure systems and solutions are well-documentedPerform analysis and design; write technical specifications; configuration and programmingUtilize Web Intelligence 4.3 to create templates and modelingIdentify and activate Business Data into defined data model/universeDesign and develop complex BO Universes using IDTInvestigate all reported problems/errors & initiate amendments & testing so that the system can operate correctly & efficientlyConducting user training, coaching internal team members will be added advantageProvide various solutions in report level while upstream data cannot be handled to satisfy report requirementWrite complex queries and procedure/functions and Performance tune complex SQL queriesProvide support in various testing phases including but not limited to integration testing, User Acceptance Test (UAT) & implementation activities which Includes fixing the reported problems/bugs of the system to ensure the smooth execution of programs in the production environment
Basic, Required Qualifications:Minimum eight years of Business Objects suite development / design experienceMinimum eight years' experience with the
SAP Business Objects product suite,
specifically focused on web intelligence reports and Business Objects Universes
Other Desired Qualifications:Strong SQL knowledge, able to write complex queriesGood understanding of different testing methodologies and how to execute themExtensive knowledge on Derived Tables, Aggregate Awareness, Joins and ContextsStrong analytical, problem-identification/solving skills, strong written and oral communication skillsMust have excellent communication skills and must be able to articulate work to senior managementGood communication skills
