The Director of Finance directs and oversees the development, performance, and maintenance of financial decision support activities for the consolidated Brazos Valley Market, including the annual operating budget, forecast models, and long-range strategic financial plans, in collaboration with the Region Finance team. Collaborates with Market Project Manager to improve financial performance of the market. Recommends annual goals to Market VP of Operational Finance. For this role, we are looking for a strong finance leader with a proven success in partnering with operational leaders for financial decision support and has a drive to become a CFO. Responsibilities Collaborates with Region Decision Support to assist leaders with understanding and evaluating the performance of their business units/clinics. Provides quantitative and qualitative financial analysis in support of goals and objectives related to strategic initiatives. Provides business analysis and directs special projects related to strategic growth and ongoing financial performance improvement. Directs completion of financial analysis and reports for management team and other performance improvement initiatives. Assists Region Finance with preparation of the annual operating budget, forecasts, and long-range strategic financial plans. Provides local oversight for operational budget processes, timeline, and communications. In collaboration with the Market Project Manager, works closely with business unit leadership to improve financial performance. Oversees the production of monthly normalizing adjustments to the income statements produced by Accounting to enable accurate and timely projections. Assists Market VP of Operational Finance with weekly Market deep dive to prepare for Region MOR. Reviews the financial statements and variance analyses produced by hospital and physician enterprise Accounting teams and provides ongoing feedback to improve accuracy and effectiveness, respectively. Oversees/prepares materials for board of directors, medical executive committee, management, and other meetings. Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Education: Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Healthcare Administration. Experience: Seven (7) years experience in the field and five (5) years leadership experience. Required Licensure and Certification: CPA required. Required Minimum knowledge, Skills, Training and Abilities: Proficient in the use of Google Workspace, general ledger accounting systems; Meditech and Lawson experience preferred.
