We are looking for an exceptional

Vice President, Enterprise and Executive Communications

to join nVent to lead and elevate the enterprise communications function. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be the chief storyteller of our company, responsible for crafting and delivering a compelling and consistent communication strategy that aligns with our vision, mission, brand and business strategy.

This role will oversee all aspects of our external (direct) and enterprise communications, including public relations, media relations, crisis communications, and executive communications of the office of the CEO. They will also partner with the CHRO to ensure alignment with the employee communications team and will have a dotted-line reporting relationship. Working closely with key stakeholders across the organization, including communications leaders in HR, business segments, and investor relations, this role will orchestrate the coordinated messaging to our target audiences of Customers, Employees, Investors, and Community. You will also lead enterprise messaging and be the voice for nVent’s enterprise narrative and steward our global reputation.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

Direct the strategic development, implementation, and management of integrated communications strategies to support business objectives, enhance brand reputation, and engage various audiences.

Define and amplify nVent’s enterprise narrative and thought leader platforms through key, influential, and targeted activities in the market.

Overall development and execution of the global public relations strategy, managing our media and agency relations, ensuring we proactively communicate our enterprise-level story, achievements, and thought leadership with an emphasis on reaching the Electrical Industry constituents.

Prepare appropriate thought leadership platforms for members of the Executive Leadership Team and develop and/or oversee the creation of all external communications products and materials online, including print and broadcast tactics.

Oversee our crisis communications, ensuring we respond swiftly and appropriately to any potential or actual issues that may affect our operations or reputation.

Coordinate and lead a cross-functional communications council to ensure alignment and coordination of communications activities and messages across the enterprise, internal communications, and segment business teams.

Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of communications efforts, including content engagement and channel performance.

Partner across marketing and product teams to drive positioning and messaging into our marketing activation, including new product launches. Develop and own a customer evidence repository.

Vice President, Enterprise and Executive Communications

YOU HAVE:

15+ years of related and progressive experience in enterprise and executive communications, public relations, or journalism. 5+ years at the managerial level.

A bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, English, or communications is required; an MBA or advanced education is preferred.

Experience in the industrial manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.

A proven track record of developing and executing successful communications strategies that achieve business goals and enhance brand reputation.

Ability to capture the voice of the CEO and other Executive Officers in written communications and messaging.

A deep understanding of the media landscape and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and influencers.

Strong crisis communications and issue management skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism and discretion.

Outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with various audiences and stakeholders, internally and externally.

Proficiency in assessing needs, developing short- and long-term plans, and excellent project management skills.

Strong collaboration skills to partner with global, regional, and functional leaders to drive alignment and center of excellence practice of communications.
