We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team. As an AWS Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy cloud-based solutions that meet our business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure and cloud computing architecture.Job Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of AWS-based solutions for public, private, and hybrid cloud deployments.Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and technical constraints and develop customized cloud architectures that align with business objectives and compliance requirements.Define cloud architecture blueprints, including account structures, networking configurations, security controls, and governance policies, to establish scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments.Architect solutions using a wide range of AWS services and technologies, including compute, storage, networking, databases, security, analytics, and machine learning.Develop migration strategies for moving on-premises workloads to the AWS cloud, including re-hosting, re-platforming, re-factoring, and re-architecting approaches.Implement security best practices and compliance controls for AWS environments, including identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, network security, and logging and monitoring.Design and implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline cloud deployment, management, and operations processes.Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams on AWS best practices, design patterns, and implementation strategies.Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS technologies, services, and best practices, and incorporate them into cloud architectures and solutions.Mandatory Skills
AWS Services : Thorough understanding and hands-on experience with a wide range of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc. Knowledge of when and how to use each service effectively is crucial.Cloud Security : Proficiency in implementing security best practices on AWS, including IAM policies, security groups, encryption mechanisms, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).Networking : Strong understanding of networking concepts relevant to AWS, such as VPC, Route 53, Direct Connect, VPN, and familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures.Architectural Best Practices : Ability to design scalable, resilient, and cost-effective architectures on AWS, considering factors like performance, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK to provision and manage AWS resources.Monitoring and Logging : Knowledge of AWS monitoring and logging services like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and X-Ray to ensure visibility into application and infrastructure performance and security.High Availability and Disaster Recovery : Designing and implementing solutions for high availability and disaster recovery on AWS using services like Multi-AZ deployments, Elastic Load Balancing, and database replication.Containerization and Orchestration : Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, especially in the context of AWS (e.g., Amazon EKS).Backup and Restore : Implementing backup and restore strategies for AWS resources and applications, including leveraging AWS Backup and third-party tools.Cost Optimization : Understanding of AWS cost management tools and best practices for optimizing costs, such as Reserved Instances, spot instances, and auto-scaling.DevOps Practices : Experience with CI/CD pipelines, configuration management tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible), and version control systems (e.g., Git) in AWS environments.Scripting and Automation : Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automating tasks and integrating AWS services into automated workflows.Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.Certification in AWS such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty is highly desirable.Required Experience
Minimum 14 years of IT Infrastructure experience.Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud architecture, with expertise in designing and implementing AWS-based solutions.Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.Proficiency in AWS services such as IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and AWS Well-Architected Framework.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to design innovative solutions to meet business requirements.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Travel Requirement (%)

Trianz compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay ranges between $140,000 to $150,000 USD. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
