They issue work assignments and monitor work quality. This position will be responsible for work in North LA, OC, San Bernadino and IE. Responsibilities: Managing assigned telecom projects including scheduling, reporting, customer facing and vendor management. Lead deployment meetings and work with cross functional teams that could include site acquisition and construction. Maintain project documentation and reporting. Manage the project schedule to ensure the project milestones and deadlines are met. Develop customer relationships that may result in influencing customers to award service work to the client. Make regular trips to sites during construction including bid walk, pre-con walk, in progress site visits, punch walks and construction closeout. Provide directions to general contractors. Understand prevailing rates for all construction work and ensure the client is receiving competitive rates for quality work. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the client's construction standards, processes, and procedures. Ensure accurate and complete files are maintained for projects and appropriate closeout documents are distributed in a timely manner and are in accordance with corporate and customer standards. Ensure that all jobs are maintained in a project tracking system with complete accuracy. Act as safety observer and Quality Assurance representative while at the site ensuring compliance with the client's safety program and related workmanship practices. Maintains vigilant oversight of expenses and financials for budgeting and variances. Prepares monthly reports (such as Revenue/Sales Projections and Billing Projections). Monitors and measures key operational metrics - the cost of projects, material, labor hours, equipment, subcontractors, etc. Negotiates costs within scope of project, accountable to ensure budget is maintained; ensures management and customers are aware of issues impacting project completion and/or cost. Establishes best practices for project flow and team member responsibilities. Attends deployment and other customer meetings. Attends industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provides feedback and information on relevant internal teams and senior management. Consults with internal teams on new business opportunities, as needed. Approves timecards. Approves requisitions based on budget. Prior to bid submission, evaluates and makes recommendations on proposed quotes. All other duties as required. Education/Training: High School graduate or equivalent, required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree, in Business, Construction Management, Engineering or related area, strongly preferred. Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite, required. Knowledge of Smartsheets a plus. Intermediate knowledge of SharePoint, preferred. Experience: 6 Years of telecommunications experience in Engineering, Operations or Network Development with specific management experience involving large, multi-component construction projects, required.
