What You'll Be Doing
The Crisis Intervention Specialist will be responsible for the following: Plans and provides mental health screening assessments crisis supportive interventions dispositions and referrals in consultation with the on-call psychiatrist and or with the coordinator for patients in crisis Conduct crisis counseling for patients in crisis situations / bereavement conduct comprehensive clinical assessment assess for suicide and homicide risk in the Emergency Department. This is a Per-Diem position with a flex/varied schedule What We're Looking For
Bachelors degree required in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related fields. Masters degree preferred. 2 –4 years Related Experience, knowledge of DSM- V diagnosis and psychotropic medications.Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of Crisis Intervention & Prevention. Ability to organize, prioritize & manage multiple projects and follow through to ensure tasks are complete.
