SUMMARY: This position is responsible for picking up and delivering product to and from all schools within the district in a safe and neat manner ensuring that product is maintained properly. DUTIES: * Maintain a clean and valid driver's license. * Drive the vehicle into position for loading and unloading. * Loading and unloading product in a safe and neat manner to make sure goods are correctly stowed. * Communicate with office. * Deliver and unload goods at required site. * Obtain a receipt for goods delivered. * Vehicle check must be done daily. Vehicle report must be completed weekly. * Hand in all gas receipts/cards upon getting gas. * Must maintain an odometer log daily. * Responsible for daily cleaning of vehicle. * No other passengers allowed in vehicle unless authorized by manager. * Must adhere to all motor vehicle laws and regulations. * Perform cleaning duties in central kitchen including storeroom and refrigeration unit maintenance * Conduct Monthly inventory ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Must adhere to all school district policies which include but are not limited to: time of delivery, parking, designated delivery areas and designated driving areas. * Whitsons is not responsible for any traffic violations while you are driving the company vehicle and are on company time. If you receive a traffic violation, you will be responsible for the ticket. * Additional duties as assigned Payrate: $16.00/hour Education: High School required Certifications: Clean unblemished driver license required Servsafe preferred Other Qualifications, Experience and Competencies: Speak, read and write in English required 1 year driving in professional role required PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position may require extended hours including evenings and/or weekends, travel to multiple work sites. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is performed primarily in the vehicle assigned to her/him. Work requires movement in and out of store rooms and freezers Exposure to extreme temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
