Your Role and ResponsibilitiesPosition is located in Radford, VA and requires 5 days onsite
This position is for a Network Engineer focused on the implementation and sustainment of switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers and network management tools.
The focus is a datacenter environment supporting two separate DoD networks. Responsibilities include network management/analysis/troubleshooting, developing and maintaining local operating procedures and policies, developing and maintaining network automation and scripts, and monitoring the ongoing operation of the network.
Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseThis position requires a Secret Security clearance or higher (US Citizenship is required)
Required Certifications:
CompTIA Security+ or other IAT II Baseline equivalentComputing Environment (CE) Certification Professional Level or higher (i.e., Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCNP Datacenter, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5 etc.)5+ years of Network Engineering5+ years of configuring and maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers and network management toolsExperience with network management, analysis and troubleshooting toolsExperience with Data Center ManagementAbility to train junior team membersExcellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication abilitiesExperience in implementing and maintaining security management strategies.
(DISA STIGs experience preferred but not required)Experience with development of project documentation to include standard operating procedures, project plans, and network diagramsStrong networking backgroundStrong troubleshooting skillsStrong documentation skills
