The position would be responsible for functional requirements gathering, process workflow mapping, solution design, project management and overall delivery of the solution. The position would also be providing end-user support, creating training documentation and performing user training. This position will be responsible for collaborating with functional leaders, technical partners and vendors to ensure proper alignment and communication with all stakeholders.Responsibilities:Gathers, analyzes, and documents functional requirements to support the design and development of technology and/or process solutions.Work with vendors and operational application owners to implement new initiatives.Analyze, design, document, test, troubleshoot and coordinate new build, upgrades and changes to current solutions.Work on implementing technology solutions effectively and maintaining the implemented systems.Provide system support by answering questions, offering technical support, researching operational issues, and escalating more complex problems to the appropriate support groups.Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key systems/processes in subject teams and day-to-day functions.Develops and monitors controls to ensure appropriate availability and data integrity within all software applications.Able to analyze different types of data like liquid fermentation, gene editing, test results and in-process dataPerforms project coordination duties, supports development, performs testing, in the coordination of the vendor team to successfully complete specified projects and tasks.Coordinates involvement of personnel from other departments and information technology groups to facilitate successful project implementations.Must have the ability to create test plans, test scripts, conduct user acceptance tests, regression test and performance tests.Work with Application service providers and application vendor support personnel to implement enhancements and support issues to resolution.Ability to bridge between functional and technical information and resources by communicating effectively between business and technical resources and leadership.Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to our other manufacturing plants and colocation facilities as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng) from College or University in a technical area of study (Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems) or equivalent technical work experience.5+ years of experience in configuration and support of LIMS and MES systems.Strong background in biostatistics, including analysis of high-throughput sequencing data systems.Extensive experience in the biotech/pharma industry required.Basic understanding of microbial systems/fermentation processesFluency in programming languages such as Perl, Python, Java, R, C, C++.Familiarity with machine learning, information theory and signal processing.Experience in computational genomics and evolutionary biology preferred.General Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (MS SQL Server, MS .NET, Power BI).Knowledge of integration with 3rd party applications via REST/XML API's end points.Ability to assess, optimize, design and document complex processes and functions.Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate complex ideas and processes to non-technical audiences.Experience in implementation of software applications across multiple business units.Proven problem solving and analytical thinking and ability to approach problems logically and systematically.Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and multi-task efficiently.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.MycoWorks offers world class benefits and compensation programs to support the health, well-being and financial empowerment of our employees. The actual pay is dependent on other factors such as training, skills, work experience and business needs. The target pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
