SENIOR QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER - MEP
Position Summary
Okland is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Control (QC) Manager with a deep background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems to join our construction team. This role is essential in managing and ensuring the quality of MEP installations, coordinating QC processes, and driving the highest standards of compliance and quality across all MEP scopes. The Senior QC Manager will work closely with project teams to establish and monitor quality controls, develop corrective action plans, and ensure MEP systems meet all client and industry standards.

Design and oversee QC programs specific to MEP systems on all construction projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct and manage inspections of MEP installations to verify adherence to design specifications, standards, and quality requirements, documenting findings and ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary. Maintain detailed and accurate QC records, including inspection logs, testing results, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans, ensuring MEP project documentation is up-to-date and accessible. Enforce MEP-specific codes, standards, and best practices, ensuring work quality aligns with industry regulations and project requirements (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC). Identify quality risks related to MEP components early in the project lifecycle and develop proactive solutions to prevent delays, rework, or non-compliance. Provide guidance and training to project teams, subcontractors, and QC staff on MEP quality control standards, promoting a culture of quality and accountability. Lead initiatives to improve QC processes and methodologies for MEP work, leveraging data and feedback to enhance quality performance and outcomes. Partner with project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders to align QC processes with project goals, facilitating open communication on MEP quality issues and resolutions. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum of 10 years of QC experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a dedicated MEP role. Strong understanding of MEP systems, codes, and regulatory requirements; experience with QC management software, MS Office, and construction management tools. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, capable of driving QC processes and delivering results in a collaborative environment. Demonstrated ability to address QC issues methodically, with attention to detail and a strong focus on documentation and corrective action planning.
