PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Owens Corning Global Information Services (GIS) SAP Lead Development Architect is responsible for stewardship of OC SAP Development standards/processes/best practices and providing guidance/direction to internal/external SAP Architects, Subject Matter Experts and Developers on their use. The SAP Lead Development Architect will also partner with other Development Lifecycle Management (DLM) team members as a steward in the planning, maintenance, and operation of our SAP landscapes. The successful candidate will leverage our DLM tools/processes to reinforce landscape integrity through a range of weekly change cycles, major project initiatives, and identify tools/processes to ensure code quality/stable operations. This position is responsible for collaborating with and educating others in both the OC and partner organizations.
The successful candidate for this role is an experienced SAP Development and Development Lifecycle Technology Leader that maintains market awareness and is connected into the space internally and externally. They are accountable for keeping up to date on new and emerging developments in IT solutions and are expected to gain a working level understanding of these technologies by pursuing opportunities to gain practical knowledge through professional events, peer networks, or formal training. The role will identify opportunities to integrate new technology with the current environments to address business opportunities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is a multi-faceted role leveraging solid SAP development experience along with consulting and project management skills to operate and fulfill expectations including, but not limited to:
Technology Leadership & Development
Ensure code quality and integrity in the SAP landscapes by leveraging DLM tools, establishing standards, and performing code reviews. Manage the Transport Management and Code Inspection tools for the SAP Landscapes. Lead the design and development of new DLM tools and processes for Agile and/or DevOps models. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including functional consultants, business analysts, and project managers, to define technical requirements and design ABAP Development Standards and Solutions. Architect and implement tools and processes to support the migration from ECC6 to S/4HANA, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to ABAP development team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards. Define Process and Tools to evaluate existing ABAP codebase for S/4HANA compatibility. Collaborate with BASIS and Infrastructure teams to ensure smooth system upgrades and patch management. Stay up to date with SAP technologies and trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance system capabilities, performance, or user experience. Lead and Influencing in the Function

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including hands-on experience with S/4HANA. Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP, BAPIs, BADI, and Enhancement Framework. Experience with SAP Fiori, CDS Views, cloud compliant ABAP, and HANA SQL programming. Excellent communication and leadership skills. ECC6 to S/4HANA migration experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
