EPM - Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Architect

The EPM FP&A Architect has an excellent ability to work with clients to understand financial planning and budgeting business processes and build high-quality analytics, budgeting, forecasting, and planning models that standardize processes using leading practices, deliver business insights, and address requirements. The successful candidate will have in depth experience in Oracle, Hyperion with additional experience in other EPM platforms such as One-Stream, Anaplan, or Board planning and budgeting product suites, is an eager &

We are looking for candidates who will leverage their analytical, process-driven, technical and management skills and experience to create and maintain Oracle EPM FP&A and business intelligence solutions while applying agile methods and the ‘know how’ to build, unit test & document high-quality solutions that meet business requirements and solve for the business objectives.

Responsibilities

Utilize skills and experience to quickly assess and understand client processes and objectives while mapping their processes to leading practices for driver-based budget & scenario development, ongoing budget management and implementing forward-looking planning and forecasting processes.

Develop high-quality and sustainable cubes/models, reports, dashboards, and other business intelligence and FP&A solutions using Oracle, and/or Hyperion and other products such Board or Anaplan.

Ability to design, develop, test, and implement driver-based analytical budgeting and planning models using EPM tools like Oracle Hyperion Essbase applications / Board / OneStream / Anaplan.

Complete end to end implementation of analytical and planning projects using EPM platforms.

Participate in exciting and varied Oracle EPM and FP&A initiatives and projects.

Oversee and provide input to technical designs created by teammates and contractors.

Drive customer discussions independently and act as trusted advisor for solutions.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle's EPM products and data integration tools in both implementation and support.

Experience with the functional and operational aspects of Oracle EPM Cloud (SaaS) suite products: application design, development of various application artifacts such as forms and rules, testing, troubleshooting (working in conjunction with Oracle Support as needed), pre- and post-implementation activities across the EPM Cloud product suite.

In-depth understanding of principles related to finance accounting and planning, including corporate month end close - consolidation, translation, elimination, and financial reporting activities as well as planning, forecasting and management reporting processes and master data management.

Experience integrating EPM with other systems using Data Management, adaptors, etc.

Experience in interacting with business users to analyze the business process and discovering requirements.

In addition to FCCS and PBCS, hands-on experience in at least two (and preferably more) of the following modules: EPBCS, PCMCS, TRCS, ARCS, EDMCS, Narrative Reporting and Data Management.

Ability to maintain optimum availability of EPM environments, and to proactively create, monitor, and migrate product-related application artifacts.

Strong problem-solving skills (from an Applications/Functional/Operational perspective) with the ability to exercise mature judgement.

Leading the design and implementation of enhanced EPM processes; redesigning the close process, budgeting/forecasting processes.

Utilize technical and industry knowledge to identify complex client issues and build long-term business relationships with key executives through engagement delivery and networking in professional organizations.

Managing and delivering large complex EPM Transformation and leading end to end sales cycles and helping manage client executive relationships.

Establish relationships and conduct communication with key stakeholders, steering committees and client's leadership.

Experience or exposure to any one of following EPM product suites is preferred. (OneStream, Anaplan, Board, Adaptive, or Jedox).

Experience implementing or integrating with business software such as ERP or other accounting software is preferred with knowledge of relational databases and data modeling is desirable.

Sound knowledge of processes and planning modeling for workforce, operations, capital and projects.

Collaborate effectively with other groups: both internal and client groups.

Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills.

Strong communication skills, initiative, sense of responsibility, flexibility, and customer orientation.

Experience with documenting design specifications and related processes.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, Business, Accounting or relevant major or experience equivalency.

Board FP&A applications experience preferred but not required.

Proactive in communicating with team, colleagues, and leadership and comfortable working with business stakeholders and teams globally.

Proficiency with Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies.

Exemplary documentation capability and verbal communication upholding the R-CUBED brand standard.
