What you will contribute:
As part of the Data Strategy & Analytics team at MoneyGram, you will be able to lead complex data-driven projects across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of machine learning models and a passion for delivering impactful business outcomes through advanced analytics. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing the project lifecycle, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality data science and machine learning solutions.
What you'll do:
Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end project management for data science and machine learning initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.Technical Expertise: Leverage knowledge of data science techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, predictive modeling, and algorithm optimization, to scope projects and ask the right questions.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to define project goals, establish priorities, and communicate progress.Strategic Alignment: Ensure alignment of data-driven initiatives with MoneyGram's business strategy, helping drive decisions based on analytical insights.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to project timelines, scope, or quality, while continuously improving processes and methodologies.Data and Tool Integration: Collaborate with IT and data infrastructure teams to ensure proper integration of tools, platforms, and datasets required for project success.Reporting & Communication: Provide regular project updates to senior management, documenting progress, challenges, and opportunities. Ensure clear communication between technical and non-technical teams.Agile Methodology: Utilize Agile project management techniques to keep teams on track, facilitating sprints, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as needed.What we're looking for:
3+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering data science or machine learning projects. Or, experience as a data scientist with extensive experience scoping projects with the business.Hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics.Familiarity with tools such as Python, R, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is a plus.Strong understanding of data science and machine learning concepts and their application in a business context.Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Proficient in Agile project management and project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).Ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.Why you will love working here:

Salary:
Anticipated Base Pay: $110k - $120k + participation in our annual bonus plan.
