Summary:
We are seeking a technically skilled and problem-solving oriented college student for the position of IT Support Intern. As an IT Support Intern, you will be the first point of contact for IT-related queries at the user level, ensuring timely responses and the optimal running of all systems.
Job Responsibilities:
•Assist in managing Help Desk tickets efficiently.
•Develop effective interpersonal skills while interacting with colleagues and vendors.
•Support network security by ensuring users follow protocols.
•Assist in managing technical documentation.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications needed to perform this position:
•Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
•Basic knowledge of computer networks and system maintenance.
•Familiarity with Active Directory, PowerShell, Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and Windows Server is a plus.
•Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Detail-oriented with the ability to keep detailed notes on tickets.
•Proficient in the use of Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
Work Environment:
This internship operates in a professional office, retail, and warehouse environment. Daily use of computers, phones, photocopiers, and other electronic devices is expected.
Physical Demands:
Sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and sometimes crawling.
Frequently lifting up to 10 lbs. and occasionally up to 25 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a part-time internship position with flexible hours to accommodate class schedules, typically Monday through Friday. For students with weekday commitments, there are also opportunities to work on weekends and holidays if needed.
