The Quality, Technology and Strategy team builds and supports IT systems across engineering and manufacturing departments at Amazon Robotics. We are looking for a senior technical product manager to own the IT roadmap and feature backlog for the engineering or manufacturing software portfolios.
A strong technical background is required to determine internal customer requirements, prioritize them, and work closely with engineering teams to drive implementation. You will own the relationship with our customers, product planning, roadmap and feature definition for a scaled manufacturing or engineering organization. You will work directly with business senior leaders to understand priorities and influence the future state of a billion dollar business.
You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or conflicting priorities. This means you are able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives while rolling up your sleeves to get the job done. Maturity, high level judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence and data utilization are essential to success.
Key job responsibilities
Manage large, complex technology roadmaps for a portfolio of information technology applications in either the Engineering or Manufacturing sector. Manage business relationships, provide stakeholder updates, prioritize and scope customer requirements. Be knowledgeable of all systems in the space, reasons behind architectural choices, and share in architectural responsibilities to drive best practices and evangelize a vision for either a large engineering org or an efficient Industry 4.0 manufacturing operation -- the largest at Amazon. Drive business' future-state capabilities and IT environment to detect gaps and recommend data solutions for improvement and modernization. Maintain and continuously prioritize backlog based on data, customer, and business needs. Write narratives to advocate and justify product launches and change requests. Build healthy working relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional business partners. Contribute to and develop the team's processes and mechanisms. Regularly participate in design reviews and other meetings with engineers and contribute to the discussion to ensure a high-quality bar.

Bachelor's degree Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product Experience managing technical products or online services Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools Experience owning information technology products in an enterprise IT organization. Experience in a scaled manufacturing organization implementing industry 4.0 practices and defining roadmaps for MES and peripheral systems. Experience in a scaled engineering organization defining roadmaps for CAD/testing/PLM systems.
