As a
User-Interface (UI) Engineer Intern , you will build web applications using cutting-edge technology to assist traders and researchers in making critical decisions. DRW enables our UI Engineer Interns to design and develop user-friendly interfaces under the guidance of UI technologists, with the goal of deployment during your ten-week internship. While your days will have you immersed in complex projects directly driving DRW's progress, your evenings will be spent exploring the city with organized social events to truly discover what it is like to live and work in Chicago.
How you will make an impact...
Design, develop, test, and deploy proprietary software solutions across the firm. Examples include:
Creating interaction-rich interfaces that traders will use to manage pricing models in live trading environmentsDeveloping low-code components which will be leveraged to iterate rapidly on dashboards that drive decisionsImplementing performant visualizations that integrate both live and historical data, surfacing real-time updates for large-scale datasets
Collaborate with trading desks to design and build intuitive workflows that enhance efficiency and meet the specific needs of end-usersIdentify innovative solutions to complex problems and advocate for their implementation to your team by communicating your ideas in a clear and concise mannerWork with other software developers, researchers, and business analysts in cross-functional team environmentsWhat you bring to the team...
Are pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, mathematics or any related science discipline and have an expected graduation date between
December 2025
