Sr. Manager, Finance

Summary: Prepares pricing estimates and creates complex program baselines and program analysis for the Business Unit (BU), financial and accounting analysis including the review, analysis, interpretation and/or evaluation of budgets, cost, pricing, etc. Performs a variety of financial activities, including accounting, financial analysis, audit, tax, credit and collections. Develops and evaluates financial plans and policies. Establishes and maintains accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls. Major Position Responsibilities
Manages the daily financial activities and functions for an organization including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury
Ensures all financial operations are in compliance with governmental rules and regulations. Forecasts and manages a cash flow that meets the needs of the company Provides guidance to managers in financial reporting objectives and standards to ensure accurate, compliant and useful financial reporting is produced Oversees the budget process and works with managers to produce and manage effective budgets Acts as an advisor to management on regulations and other matters that may impact the financial activities of the company, engaging with outside consultants if applicable Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from the HR Directors & General Managers
Basic Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree OR equivalent combination of relevent education and/or experience
7-8 years experience Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting MBA highly desired Accounting/cost estimating work experience related to program control, program finance/accounting and/or pricing of government contracts Proficient in ProPricer Integrated Program Manager (IPM) Proficient in Microsoft Excel Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) Knowledge of financial management principles, program planning, Earned Value (EV) reporting for government contracts, budgeting and practices Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interface Strong written, digital and verbal communication skills in both an individual and team environment Looks for ways to improve and promote quality Must be able to possess strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and have demonstrated ability to reprioritize on the fly Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines Works within the highest level of integrity, ethics and safety Operates under minimal direction and exercises moderate to independent judgment Decisions are guided by policy, procedures and business plan Consistent exercise of discretion and judgment Supervises the daily activities of support staff or production team members Other Requirements: Proficiency with MS Office 365 tools Corporate finance Financial management Financial reporting Fiscal management Accounting software Financial analysis software Professional demeanor and presentation skills for frequent meetings, presentations Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of time The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only.
