About the role: The Structural Heart Valves (SHV) marketing team is looking for an experienced marketer to lead the global downstream competitive and clinical marketing strategy.
The Senior Global competitive and clinical Product Manager for the Structural Heart franchise will play a crucial role in the overall Global SHV strategy. This role focuses on expanding our SHV competitive and clinical marketing strategy by advancing competitive blunting and messaging strategies, leading competitive intelligence initiatives, and driving our SHV clinical data story.
This person is an experienced marketer and demonstrates strength in general product management, clinical and competitive positioning, and messaging development and operates independently, requiring minimal supervision in developing and executing key franchise strategies. The position will involve primarily downstream marketing; however, will include additional scope liaising with upstream and functional partners to develop and drive the SHV clinical evidence strategy.
Your responsibilities will include:
Serve as downstream marketing lead for competitive and clinical marketing, working with other structural heart product managers to develop commercial program strategies as well as execute these programs with the field and global marketing partners to drive franchise growth.
Develop and execute high-quality competitive and clinical marketing plans, value proposition development, competitive positioning, market research, content development, sales education, evidence strategy, etc. for the SHV product portfolio.
Partner with clinical and marketing colleagues to align on a clinical investment strategy to grow therapy adoption and utilization across the SHV portfolio.
Cross-functional leadership and being viewed as a subject matter expert (SME) for the SHV clinical and competitive landscape.
Create relationships and strategic partnerships with physician thought leaders to execute critical franchise & business initiatives.
Develop a deep understanding of competitors and lead competitive action plans to help position franchise.
Drive the promotion of new SHV clinical data at key conferences and distinguish Boston Scientific's investment in research across the portfolio.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of 5 years of experience in downstream and/or upstream marketing.
Experience managing products within the medical device industry
Experience creating impactful value propositions, developing clinical data messaging, and leading competitive blunting strategies.
Ability to develop deep clinical expertise in the medical device product line.
Demonstrated success supporting and/or managing complex projects.
Ability to foster constructive relationships with key internal and external customers.
Strong analytical skills.
Preferred qualifications:
Advanced education such as MBA
Ability to travel 20% domestically or more, as well as potential for some international travel.
High level of business, technical, and clinical acumen, strategy creation, and execution excellence.
Demonstrated success working as an integral cross-functional team member
Prior experience with medical device or structural heart
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to present to peers as well as executive management.
