Business Technology Integrators (BTI) is looking for an experienced and highly motivated
Lead Database Administrator
to join our team supporting Health & Human Services (HHS). This senior role demands an expert in database management who can lead efforts in the design, development, and optimization of complex database systems.The Lead Database Administrator will serve as the primary technical authority on database management, encompassing all phases of database development and administration. The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of business analysis, event modeling, logical and physical database design, and data access and security. This role also includes critical responsibilities in database optimization, archive and recovery strategies, load strategy design, and comprehensive change and security management.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust database solutions to support HHS’s mission.Oversee and participate in all aspects of database administration, including business analysis, logical and physical design, DBMS optimization, and recovery strategy.Ensure database security, change management, and infrastructure reliability in compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.Design and implement data access strategies, load strategies, and backup and recovery plans to support the organization’s data requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database solutions with organizational needs and technical goals.Act as the expert resource and mentor for junior DBAs and other team members on database best practices and technical problem-solving.Qualifications:Experience :
Minimum of 15 years in database design, maintenance, and coding.At least 10 years in a dedicated database administration role, handling complex database environments.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited university.Skills and Expertise :
Mastery of database principles, techniques, and best practices across development, coding, and design.Strong knowledge of business analysis, event modeling, and both logical and physical database design.Expertise in DBMS optimization, infrastructure design, and security and change management.
