IT Concepts, Inc. (ITC) is seeking an experienced Chief Information Security Officer to support a DOD SOCOM opportunity. ITC will provide the Government with program management and services related to emerging technology solutions including Enterprise Architecture (EA) and data science, application development and management support, training, and enterprise ecosystem support.
Responsibilities :
Responsible for enterprise information security policy and strategy across the EDATS program.
Create and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that aligns with DoD goals and ensures the protection of classified and sensitive data.
Continuously monitor DoD networks and systems for potential threats or breaches, using real-time threat detection tools and conducting incident response when needed.
Ensure that all cybersecurity measures comply with DoD policies and frameworks, such as the Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST standards, and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
Manage and mentor the cybersecurity team, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle evolving cyber threats, conduct risk assessments, and implement security protocols.
Oversee the development, implementation, and enforcement of information security standards and procedures.
In charge of IT risk evaluations, audits, and security incident investigations.
Location : On-site in Tampa, FL
Requirements :
Senior level: 10 years of experience and a MA/MS degree.
Substitutions for education:
Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree.
12 years work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree.
Preferred Skills:
Complete understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management strategies, and threat detection techniques specific to the DoD environment.
Comprehensive understanding of key DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-53, and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
Ability to lead incident response efforts, conduct forensic investigations, and mitigate the impact of cyberattacks, breaches, or spills.
Strong leadership skills to guide, mentor, and manage the cybersecurity team while fostering collaboration with other departments and stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work with teams, but self-motivated to complete projects on your own.
Ability to work fully on-site with minimal accommodation.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active DOD TS/SCI clearance.
