Database Architect (SQL Server)

Realpage is seeking for a highly impactful resourceful DB Architect to join to support SQL Server and Support Technology Solutions team and help manage its infrastructure with effective services and support. The role is critical and would support infrastructure needs globally and would involve in DB support for SQL Server with T SQL Skills, Performance Monitoring, Query Optimization and DB Architect as required on time-to-time basis. Must be a motivated, team player with the ability to work cross-functionally with a can-do and do-it-right attitude and willingness to mentor others.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Utilize experience in DB technologies to design schemas, tune queries, optimize performance, and gather diagnosticsDevelop T-SQL queries and stored proceduresApply expertise in SQL and database-level performance tuningHandle cloud-related tasks including migration and monitoringUse expertise in database scripting and automation technologyManage large scale databases using appropriate methodologies and processesProvide insights into changing database utilization requirements and offer suggestions for improvementsAnalyze and implement database standards in line with company policyDevelop database solutions and implement disaster recovery plansAnalyze database structural requirements for new software and applicationsRecommend solutions to improve new and existing database systemsApply experience with performance tuningUnderstand and apply index design and performance-tuning techniquesUtilize expert knowledge of SQL internals and DMVsApply scripting and automation knowledge as requiredTECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Expert level proficiency in SQL Server - architecture, configuration, stored procedures, queriesStrong scripting skills and working knowledge of PowerShell or any scripting languageExperience with Cloud and hybrid-cloud implementationsHighly skilled in urgent real time troubleshootingExperience with performance tuningUnderstanding of index design and performance-tuning techniquesQuery Tuning TechniquesParameter SniffingExpert Knowledge of SQL Internal & DMVsStorage optimization and MonitoringExcellent understanding of database design and developmentExperience working with Extended events/SQL profiler and other troubleshooting toolsExperience with very large databases and/or data warehousingFamiliarity with RDBMS principles, database design and normalizationAbility to develop scripts to load test dataPerform problem determination (root cause analysis) and document the source of problems and their resolutionExperience with source control systems such as GIT,TFS, SVNMicrosoft Best Practices with regards to developing T-SQL queries and stored proceduresMicrosoft Best Practices with regards to database maintenance thresholds for consistency checks, index fragmentation, statistics, backups, restoresReviewing execution plans and not only determine possible indexing changes, but also know how to refactor T-SQL statements to achieve optimal performanceReporting Services, Integration Services, Analysis ServicesDocumentation of solutions (eg Data Models, Configurations and Setup)Highly responsive communicationEDUCATION & SOFT SKILLS

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field is strongly desired Microsoft Certified in SQL,10-15 years of experience with Multi Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP etc) skillsStrong scripting skills and working knowledge of PowerShell or any scripting languageSQL Server 2016/2019 & higher versionsExperience with data migration from legacy systemsStrong experience with performance optimization and tuning with database applicationsExpert knowledge on Always-On Availability Groups and ListenerStrong Windows systems, clustering, and scripting proficiencyFamiliarity with database backup and recovery strategiesStrong familiarity with SSIS, SSRS and Analysis ServicesExperience with TDE encryptionSQL Server STIG hardening and accreditation#LI-JL1 #LI-REMOTE
