The Tualatin SEM Lab evaluates the experiments carried out by Lam's process development teams using electron microscopes. Our objective is to output lots of data while maintaining impeccable accuracy and data integrity. The technicians who work here enjoy collaborating and sharing processes with one another to refine their skills and achieve faster turn-times for our customers.What You'll Do
Operate Thermo Fisher Helios FIB/SEM tools in preparation of cross section lamellae. Perform STEM imaging of prepared samples.Ensure security of customer IP through careful sample handlingWork with other metrology technicians to learn best skills and iterate upon your imaging processes.Who We're Looking For
Candidates interested in the field of electron microscopy as a career, whether you have prior experience or are looking for a career change.Careful, detail oriented observer and problem solverSomeone who enjoys finding inefficiencies in repetitive processesSomeone who is fond of learning and open to feedbackAbility to work a night shift schedule. We do have day shifts which are offered to lab members based on tenure.Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a physical science or similar technical field. Understanding of relevant physics - electrodynamics, vacuumsystems, voltage/current effects,ion sputtering behaviorPrior experience operating an Electron Microscope. Prior experience operating dual beam FIB/SEM tools, especially in the preparation of thin lamella for STEM or TEM imaging.Prior experience working in a laboratory settingOur Commitment
