POSITION SUMMARY
Glass Roots Construction (GRC) was founded in 2022 by a team of construction professionals and is searching for a Sales Director to support our rapidly growing business. In two short years GRC has grown to a company with over 100 employees and $80m in annual revenue. GRC looks to leverage the latest technologies and utilizes best-in-industry equipment, construction, and safety practices to build a first-class nationwide fiber optic utility construction firm. At GRC, you will drive sales of construction projects to new customers. You will achieve sales and revenue growth goals by creating and managing a well-run RFP program as well as acquiring and on-boarding new customers by other targeted means. Business acumen, technical capability and a demonstrated ability to succeed in an autonomous environment is key to this role. This role reports directly to the senior business development lead at GRC.
A Sales Director at GRC is responsible for developing advanced relationships with potential customers. This position requires little direct supervision and has the discretion to engage in negotiations and solution development in support of the needs of projects ranging from very small ( $50m) in a variety of geographies and verticals (e.g. long haul, Fiber-to-the-Home, etc.). The Sales Director will be responsible for increasing the net revenue for GRC with new accounts.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include:
Meet with customers to understand their network needs, current network topology and concerns
Generate sales revenue by actively promoting GRC products and services
Design solutions and present network proposals and expected performance capabilities for GRC solutions
Build relationships with new customers
Maintain record of customer details, interactions and information GRC’s CRM tool and other reporting tools
Be a customer advocate within the GRC organization
Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and agreements with clients, ensuring mutual satisfaction.
Work closely with internal teams (such as project management and operations) to align strategies and deliver excellent service
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in sales/business development or similar role
Strong technical/business knowledge
BS/BA degree in operations or business management.
Experience in data management (very strong in Microsoft Suite including Excel)
Must reside in one of the following states: CO, NV, UT, AZ, TX, NM, CA

Highly organized with excellent communication and presentation skills,
Excelling verbal and written and interpersonal skills
Exceptional customer service and relationship building / maintaining skills
Solid understanding of telecommunications and Information technology concepts and fundamentals
Ability to organize and prioritize work, solve problems and escalate issues as needed
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced, team-based environment
