This job collaborates with the department leaders and committees in the identification, trending, and analysis of clinical quality issues and in a collaborative fashion facilitates resolution of these issues. Manages specific data for internal and external reporting and plays a key role in accreditation and survey processes within the organization.Education Required - Associates degree in Healthcare or related field.Preferred- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare or related fieldWork ExperienceRequired - 5 years of related experience in healthcare or quality improvement.Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills including presentation and facilitation capabilitiesStrong team management skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Knowledge of regulatory and accrediting standards. General knowledge and understanding of the principles and theories of quality management and continuous quality improvement. Expert knowledge of common statistical programs, spreadsheet and database management and word processing.Job DutiesManages and maintains assigned databases.Provides data analysis, trended reports and direction for performance improvement initiatives.Facilitates review, and tracks use, of Best Practice order sets and guidelines though direct participation and communication to guide improvement based upon evidence.Provides education and interpretation of standards related to regulatory and accrediting standards.Participates in risk management through the identification, trending and follow up of clinical issues.Ochsner is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
