Role:
The role of
HR Generalist
is a newly created role. Reporting into the HR Manager and part of a global HR team, this role is responsible for all HRIS maintenance, payroll, timekeeping, leave administration, benefits, recruitment, new hire onboarding, employee relations, and training. This position is also responsible for supporting the team with key projects.
Job Duties:
Manage the HRIS, payroll and timekeeping systems and ensures data integrity.
Lead annual benefits open enrollment process including all communications and employee benefit questions.
Payroll activities for approximately 90 hourly and salaried employees on a bi-weekly basis including payroll data entry, source document tracking, verification of all payroll activities, back up memo creation and training of leaders as needed for the time keeping system.
Employee personnel file management: hardcopy and electronic. Adherence to record retention guidelines to ensure that files are maintained in an organized and secure manner is paramount.
Recruitment: job postings, interview scheduling, candidate hosting while on-site and coordination of prescreening testing/background checks and drug screens.
Conduct new employee orientation.
Support and partner with employees and supervisors to resolve problems.
Assists the leaders in planning, coordinating, and implementing internal and external meetings, events, projects and initiatives, including developing and writing related communications, documents, scripts and presentations.
Facilitates and provides training to employees and management where identified.
Interprets company rules and regulations and departmental policies and procedures regarding personnel actions for management and employees. Provides training to ensure and maintain understanding of all current policies and procedures
Develops monthly, quarterly, annual HR Reports for management review and analysis.
Manage workers compensation claims and leave management administration.
Serves as the lead of our Funovation and FM community impact committees.
Implements process improvements as necessary.
Vendor Management such as coffee, furniture, etc.
Responds quickly and enthusiastically to rapidly changing demands. Anticipates deviations from schedules and proactively and independently works to develop adjusted plans to address such changes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field is required.
3+ years of human resource experience in a comparable role, preferably with experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with HRIS, timekeeping and payroll systems (Workday and Dimensions preferred)
Attention to detail. Does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a task. Excellent organizational skills.
Ability and experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, strong use of Excel, Word and Outlook is essential.
Experience maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
Prior experience with Leave management and Workers Compensation required.
Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
Knowledge of core Federal and State laws pertaining to employee relations.
Intermediate knowledge of labor laws, including EEO, wage/hour, staffing, compensation, benefits, unemployment, and workers compensation.
