You will be integral in creating design solutions for actuation systems across the aerospace industry from flight control actuation on aircraft, missiles and launch vehicles. You will be involved in every aspect of the system life cycle; from the initial design concepts through product end of life.

Lead the System and Component Requirements analysis and decomposition
Actuation system integration and component development
Mechanical Systems design and component controller integration
Electro-Mechanical System and Component Modeling and Analysis
Control architecture and design
Physics based model development and system design
Root cause and corrective action planning and execution
Mechanical Systems validation & verification
Customer technical interface
Effective delegation of work to team members
Project management performance and execution
Cost, schedule, and milestone development/management
Risk (threats/opportunities) development and management
Customer communication and relationships
Understand actuation technology
Metric development/reporting
Hardware supplier technical communication/interface
Technical problem solving/Root cause analysis
Technical documentation - Test plans, procedures, and reports
Analysis of test data results
Assess customer requirements documentation
Assess Government regulatory requirements
Design validation and verification through build and test execution
Proposal development support of estimation of resources and schedule
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelors degree in Engineering Minimum 5+ years of applied engineering experience

Knowledge of the systems and component development lifecycles
Experience with Agile work flow planning
Experience withsystems requirement flow down
Experience developing RCCA plans and execution, with demonstrated results
Experience developing motor driven actuation systems
Experience with implementing control architecture in electronic controller applications
Experience with Real Time hardware in the loop controller development
Control theory basics (block diagram representations of nonlinear and linearized systems, frequency response, gain and phase margins, time constants and interactions, etc.
Systems simulation (proficiency with Matlab/Simulink and Excel or other performance modeling software)
Thermodynamics experience
Fluid dynamics experience
Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
Effective communicator
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.
