To meet the needs of the marketplace in the face of stiff competition, the team must rapidly develop a new engine to be the best in the marketplace through execution of world class project management and Systems thinking.

The Systems Project Engineer will lead a cross-functional engineering team to execute the Performance, Operability, and Secondary Flow system development for this new turbofan engine. The selected individual will provide leadership for all IPDS functions related to the specific systems assigned, including schedule, budget, technical attributes, requirements validation and verification, and certification aspects related to performance, operability, and secondary flow. The individual will serve as a mentor for the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead design and development activity of the performance, operability, and secondary flow models through all aspects of the IPDS process on schedule, on budget and in compliance with all technical requirements. Key aspects include requirements validation and verification, resolution of key technical challenges, acquisition of development hardware, management of fabrication cost and execution of qualification tasks.
Work directly with the product Systems Architect to ensure compliance with the required turbofan architecture
Manage and define the overall engine system performance, operability, and secondary flow in alignment with program defined system architecture and business goals.
CAM for Performance, Operability, and Secondary Flow work packages responsible for budget, schedule, and risk management.
Act as a mentor and technical leader for the organization.
Broad indirect span of control of approximately 10 full time equivalent engineers.
Cost account manager for assigned scope, including Earned Value Management System reporting. Annual budgetary responsibility approximately $3.0M.
Expected to serve as the single point leader for the performance, operability, and secondary flow work packages
Leadership capability with diverse, cross functional team
Escalate effectively with leadership and cross-functionally across the organization
Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
Bias toward creative thinking and innovation in product design and approach to everyday work
Solid working knowledge of and commitment to IPDS processes

Support trade studies and RCCA activities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Due to US export control laws, must be a US Person.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Minimum 10 years directly related Systems or Project engineering experience related to the design, development, and/or test of gas turbine engines.
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

Ability to investigate broad, complex, and ambiguously defined challenges, rally team consensus around the scope and approach to resolution and lead the team to resolution.
Capability to facilitate interpersonal relationships and resolve conflicts tactfully and effectively within Honeywell and externally with suppliers and customers. Ability to promote customer satisfaction with capability to establish strong business and personal relationships with customers and suppliers (internal and external) Ability to escalate effectively with leadership and cross-functionally across the organization Must be results oriented Demonstrated budget and schedule management skills in today's EVMS environment. Direct project management training, such as PE academy, PMP certification, or other project management courses a plus.
