GME Special Projects Analyst Temporary Employment Program Job Summary The duration of this temporary role is approximately 12 months. The Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME) is in need of a project policy analyst 4 to manage strategic special projects that lead to new programs, work processes and policies in graduate medical education. These special projects include but are not limited to: Assist in coordinating the processes needed to prepare for an institutional accreditation site visit; Outline and implement changes needed to ensure both School of Medicine and Health System compliance with new institutional accreditation requirements; Assist in design of the strategic growth plan for UCSF graduate medical education; Assist in implementation of GME program expansion; Oversee data collection regarding program compliance with GME work hour requirements. Examples of other projects include: creating processes, policies and procedures for an institutional accreditation site visit over the next 12-24 months, helping lead the GME accreditation team to develop a self-study document over the next 6 months in preparation for the institutional accreditation site visit (approximate date for site visit is Feb. 2027), and collecting data to identify the need for GME program expansion. This position will be responsible for staffing several strategic committees including the Institutional Self-Study Committee, the UCSF GME Executive Oversight Committee and the ACGME Strategic Growth Committee. Department Description UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions. Required Qualifications Advanced knowledge of common organizational- or research-specific and other computer application programs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and influence, both verbally and in writing. Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality. Advanced project management skills. Thorough knowledge of organizational or initiative processes, protocols and procedures. Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Advanced knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques. Advanced analytical / problem-solving skills.
