Responsibilities
This Foster College of Business Administrative Assistant position works in a team environment, while individually handling administrative
tasks for several departments on a regular basis and working in tandem with the Caterpillar College of Engineering administrative staff also.
Responsibilities will vary including a wide range of administrative duties, assisting with event planning for departmental and college activities
as well as making travel arrangements. Additional routine tasks include mail merges, requisition orders, completing and submitting various forms,
making copies, taking minutes, room reservations and other administrative duties as assigned. Cross-training for all administrative activities
is to be expected to meet the needs of the colleges. In order to meet the needs of the University, the University retains the right to assign duties
and requirements to employees as well as determine and change starting times, quitting times and shifts.
Minimum Qualifications One year of office or related experience The ability to work independently, exhibit sound judgment and contribute to a positive team spirit Proficiency in professional written, verbal and personal communications Attention to detail Strong customer service skills The ability to productively work/interact with diverse groups of people and to show respect and sensitivity for cultural differences Professionalism in handling sensitive/confidential information and records Proficiency in G-Suite or the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong word processing skills and experience building spreadsheets Problem solving skills The ability to coordinate/manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and on time
