Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Loan Officer Assistant to join our team. The Loan Officer Assistant will support the loan officers in managing their pipeline, coordinating loan documentation, and ensuring a smooth and efficient process for clients applying for loans. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping people, and has a strong understanding of the loan application and approval process.

Key Responsibilities:

Loan Processing Support:

Assist the Loan Officer in gathering and organizing required documents for loan applications.

Communicate with clients to request necessary paperwork, such as income verification, credit reports, and other supporting documents.

Prepare loan files for underwriting by ensuring all required documents are complete and accurate.

Review loan files for compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.

Track loan application progress and follow up with clients and third-party vendors to ensure timely processing.

Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service by responding to client inquiries regarding the status of their loan applications.

Act as a liaison between the loan officer, clients, underwriters, and other departments to ensure smooth communication throughout the process.

Address client concerns and help resolve any issues that may arise during the loan application process.

Administrative Support:

Schedule meetings and appointments for loan officers with clients and real estate professionals.

Maintain and update loan files and databases with accurate information.

Assist in the preparation of loan approval and denial letters.

Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations related to loan processing.

Pipeline Management:

Assist in managing and tracking the loan pipeline to ensure timely closings.

Keep loan officers updated on the status of loan files and any outstanding requirements.

Provide regular reports on the status of loan applications and documents to management.

Documentation & Filing:

Maintain organized records of all loan applications, correspondence, and documentation.

Ensure that all client files are properly filed and stored, following company protocols and compliance regulations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.

Previous experience in the mortgage or financial services industry is a plus.

Knowledge of mortgage lending procedures and regulatory guidelines (e.g., RESPA, TILA, TRID) is preferred.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with mortgage processing software.

Spanish Speaking

Interaction with clients, underwriters, and loan officers via phone, email, and in person.
